Our Principles

Most people think preparing for investment just means having a good business plan, we know different.  It was from here that we established our key attribute, getting to know the person behind the idea or the business. You will read this message on our website and it will be apparent when you deal with us. Obtaining investment isn't just about having a good business plan; it's about a solid structure, a knowledgeable management team, a realistic financial approach and a realistic commercial approach. The combination of all of these things is the business plan.

The History

• 2007 - CBF (Creative Business Finance) first laid its roots helping businesses prepare business plans using Government backed loan schemes – it was apparent to us that there was a gap in the market and we began to utilise many different funds to support our clients - government backed bank loans, grant funding, training schemes/funding and regional development loans to assist small to medium cap businesses in the UK, structuring the total investment. 
• 2008 - After spending time carrying out some consultancy work for projects and businesses in Croatia, CBF International, as it is today, was formed in 2008. It became apparent that the gap in the market to prepare businesses professionally that was visible in the UK, was also a problem worldwide. We finalised our offering to pride ourselves on not just brokering or sourcing investment, but preparing businesses for investment, guiding them through the process and what it takes to be successful when finding investment.
• 2009/10 – Developing partnerships in the private money markets enabled us to restructure our business and introduce new personnel. Keeping the flexible approach, we increased our position and formed solid partnerships through South East Europe, Eastern Europe, Western Europe and South America. This put us in a strong position to help projects, whilst supporting our business.
• 2011 – A Joint Venture partnership provides CBF International with direct access to credit lines for project finance. Providing the commercial operations for these JV funds, as well as monitoring/evaluating all investments until the money is repaid.

The Business

We currently operate out of the UK, with strategic partners in various countries around the world. As an independent firm, we are able to offer a level of service which is both flexible and objective – tailored to your individual needs and not determined by the need to sell standard products. We adapt our services to suit our clients, not the other way around.
